About the Chest

Your chest muscles move your arms forward and across your body. When you do a push-up, your chest muscles are working. They work opposite to your back muscles. Strong chest muscles help with pushing movements.

  • Pectoralis Major: The large fan-shaped muscle that makes up most of your chest.
  • Pectoralis Minor: A smaller muscle underneath that helps move your shoulder blade. It's important for proper shoulder movement and breathing.
