About the Forearms
Your forearm muscles help you grip things and move your wrists and fingers. They work in pairs to move your hands in different directions. When you hold a weight or do a wrist curl, your forearm muscles are working.
- Flexors: On the palm side, help you grip and bend your wrist. They're crucial for holding onto things.
- Extensors: On the back of your hand, help you straighten your wrist. They're important for opening your hand.
- Pronators: Help you turn your palm down. They work when you're typing or using tools.
- Supinators: Help you turn your palm up. They're active when you're holding a cup or turning a doorknob.
